  • Who are the Best YouTubers?

If I can ignore the fact that the YouTube offices have been taken over by Social Justice Warriors who are intent on slaying a fictitious Dragon - YouTube is a product I very much love. I haven't watched real Television in years. I simply see no need for it. YouTube has all the content I could possibly need all in one place. I really hope the company sees the light and doesn't continue down the path of banning YouTubers because they think differently to the Thought Police. Only time will tell. It should be noted before I reveal my favourite YouTubers that there are alternative Platforms to YouTube and everyone should be familiar with those platforms if they value Free Speech. They include - Bitchute, Vimeo, Vevo, DailyMotion & my personal favourite LBRY. Although it appears LBRY may be changing its name soon. So watch this space. All signed up Users to the YouTube platform have the ability to Subscribe to whomever they like. YouTubes Algoythm will then try to learn what you like as well as manipulate what you like by sending you down a rabbit hole of content to keep you on the platform for as long as possible. I've been on the platform since 2006 so I have a pretty good idea what I like. Here are my favourite YouTubers. Mouthy Buddha One man does in one video what an entire production team could only wise they did in a year-long project. He produces a video usually every 6 weeks and I have to state his videos get better and better with each new video he releases. John Canales is the Mouthy Buddha and I take my hat off to his well put together videos. Tacking subjects the mainstream news would rather you didn't know about. *** Since I wrote this blog post The Mouthy Buddha has been banned from YouTube - his content is available on LBRY & Bitchute as they do not censor ideas (yet).*** Maceo Plex The worlds greatest Techno DJ has his own YouTube Channel. Granted not all his work is on this channel - I wish he would change that but I guess he is too busy being Maceo Plex and producing some of the finest music in the world. Highlights include him occasionally doing LiveStreams from his studio. Worthy of your time and attention - go click subscribe Techno style! Jordan B. Peterson Canada's greatest export right now by 10,000 miles and author of the bestselling book The 12 Rules for Life. For some reason, this well-spoken, reasoned academic seems for no good reason ruffle the feathers of those on the far left. The answer can only be they have their heads so far up their arses they haven't taken the time to listen to anything he has to say for himself. Peterson has clearly used his years to think through his thoughts and with that dissects life, philosophy and psychology with finesse. Any time you are willing to enjoy his lectures his YouTube Channel should be worthy of your time. A sprinkle of some of his highlights is below, however like all the channels mentioned on this page - I urge you to Subscribe to get the best value. Joe Rogan - The Joe Rogan Experience The most successful Podcaster in the world. This outstanding all American chap won't be on YouTube for much longer. YouTube Management failed to see the value of this podcasting talent so Spotify decided to snap him up for $100million. Only time will tell if the Mega Bucks means his down to earth persona speaks that from the heart attitude gets impacted by lawyers who intervene and say you can't say this about Chicks with Dicks. The perfect show to listen to if you are out for a 2-3 hour walk. Always insightful and always something brought to the table. A couple of outstanding shows to watch if you haven't already - but it looks like we will be watching him on Spotify come December 2020. Bright Insight This channel should actually be a show on terrestrial Television. His videos are so well researched with amazing insight. However, there's a reason why the Networks haven't picked him up. It is because his subjects don't mesh with their agenda. Bright Insight provides academic insight into the wonders of the world NPCs refuse to look at. Discussions on where Atlantis could have been to possible life on the Moon. Worthy of anyone's attention who is curious about the Wonders of the World and the Universe. Some highlights I have posted below. Bald and Bankrupt This YouTuber started his Eastern European Travels after me but despite this, his growth has been x1000000 bigger than my growth - but like my Murphys, I'm Not Bitter! Mr Bald is immensely watchable and this is his secret. He speaks Russian which comes in handy with his many encounters with Babuska's and Relics who might still think the Soviet Union is still together. Mr Bald to his viewers but known as Benjamin RIch to his family. The slight irony that his last name is Rich and his Channel started because he was declared Bankrupt. And yet it's clear now with his great success he is no longer Bankrupt. He has over 2 million subscribers and his videos rake in the cash and are very worthy of anyone's attention. Highlights from his travels: Computing Forever The name of the channel doesn't exactly make you want to click on it unless of course, you love computers. However, this channel clearly started along the lines of covering all things computers but gravitated over time to be much more. Computing Forever is a channel dedicated to politics, social commentary and technology. I visit the channel for the discussions about politics that you won't hear that often on the MSM. The channel challenges the cancer that is social justice, political correctness and hyper-consumerism. Worthy of your time and a Subscription. ****2021 Update**** The Channel has now been removed by the YouTube Gods because they don't like the discussion of ideas. You can now find Computer Forever on Odysee*** Pursuit of Wonder Maybe I was drawn to this channel, to begin with, because it has "Wonder" in its title. I'm glad that word was able to draw me in - what a wonderful channel that tackles some of the most interesting subjects a man or woman could ever engross themselves with. Their content makes you curious, inspired, and feel good in life. Wonder is the feeling of curiosity and/or appreciation inspired by something that is beautiful or unfamiliar. Their content creates that feeling that's for sure covering a range of topics related to things like social, emotional, and intellectual wellbeing. Worthy of your time and subscription - here are a couple of highlights. Black Pigeon Speaks Rex is known as Black Pigeon Speaks but in reality only his friends know his true identity. Very wise in this world where people can get cancelled for having the wrong opinion. This channel packed with well-researched insight into word current events has been banned by YouTube once before so may not last much longer but I hope the Woke Police don't take it down. It truly should be watched/listened to by all those looking for wider insight into the world we live in. Those worthy of a mention that I haven't included in the list include the very watchable Indigo Traveller. The mischievous David Bond who seems to reside between the USA and Thailand most days. Mark Dice hated by the Liberal Media but always very clickable and worthy of 5minutes of your time each day. Paul Joseph Watson a regular on the most banned network in the world (Infowars) but still producing amazing content for YouTube. And do check out my friend James Hibbert he recently started on YouTube and he is likely to overtake me in no time - most people do these days! If you liked this list and you would like to take the time to Subscribe to my Channel The Wondering Englishman - I will be forever grateful! Thanks for taking the time and let's keep our fingers crossed that YouTube doesn't eat itself with its mass hiring of the woke left. Thank you for your time and attention - please support free speech and do not allow the Marxist left to continue to cancel those who do not think the same as them. • The Best Airbnb Experiences in London.

Back in the old days, the custom when travelling would be to ask the Concierge in the Hotel lobby - what's the best restaurants were or what were the best things to do. One might refer to their Lonely Planet or Rough Guide Book. Fortunately, since Airbnb opened up travel and made it more personal and more affordable to more people, it became more routine to ask your host about what one should check out in the local neighbourhood. However, to experience something more local and intimate Airbnb has introduced Airbnb Experiences. The beautiful thing about Airbnb Experiences is, not only does the traveller get to experience a more unique experience when travelling from intimate dinner parties to a tour from a local graffiti artist. Those hosting the experiences are able to generate an income that may not have been as easily accessible to them before. So it would appear to be a win-win for both parties as long as both enter the deal with the best intentions. I’m a Londoner who has used Airbnb as a host and a guest since the first year of its inception. I’ve met some of the most wonderful people and experienced some really eye-opening wonderful things via Airbnb. Other than being a Host and a frequent traveller I am not Employed by Airbnb - I simply have a fondness for the company so can happily recommend the company. • Le Parc aux Bombous - a worthy contender for a place to visit if near Mirepoix and Carcassonne

The Land use in Southwestern France is usually a mix of vineyards, farmland, rural and urban centres but there's a unique place where Bamboo can be found in an array of diversity. One man’s fascination with Bamboo has turned it into an enterprise that is now a tourist attraction. Le Parc aux Bombous is set in a lush setting on the banks of the beautiful River L’Hers. Set over 5 hectares and established back in 2006 the Bamboo gardens have enthralled visitors who set forth in these not very french surrounding. More than 200 Species of Bamboo can be found in this tranquil garden. Bamboos are evergreen perennial flowering plants. The origin of the word "bamboo" is uncertain, but it probably comes from the Dutch or Portuguese language, which originally borrowed it from Malay or Kannada. In bamboo, as in other grasses, the internodal regions of the stem are usually hollow and the vascular bundles in the cross-section are scattered throughout the stem instead of in a cylindrical arrangement. Bamboos include some of the fastest-growing plants in the world, due to a unique rhizome-dependent system. Certain species of bamboo can grow 910 mm (36 in) within a 24-hour period, at a rate of almost 40 mm (1⁄2 in) an hour (a growth around 1 mm every 90 seconds, or 1 inch every 40 minutes). Giant bamboos are the largest members of the grass family. This rapid growth and tolerance for marginal land, make bamboo a good candidate for afforestation, carbon sequestration and climate change mitigation. Bamboos are of notable economic and cultural significance in South Asia, Southeast Asia and East Asia, being used for building materials, as a food source, and as a versatile raw product. Bamboo, like wood, is a natural composite material with a high strength-to-weight ratio useful for structures. Bamboo's strength-to-weight ratio is similar to timber, and its strength is generally similar to a strong softwood or hardwood timber. Le Parc aux Bombous can be reached from Mirepoix very easily and also makes for a worthy day trip from Carcassonne or possibly Toulouse if you don't mind clocking up the miles. Or if you are in the lucky position to be taking the scenic route while travelling through Southern France there are plenty of beautiful hotels and chalets you could stop at in the nearby area. Airbnb is always a delightful option as it gives you a real taste of the local area and is generally far better value than a Hotel in Southern France. Of course, Breakfast is not always included but does this matter with the money that will be saved! I'm an Airbnb host as well as a frequent Airbnb traveller. I love Airbnb because not only does it make travelling more affordable but it also allows you to stay off the beaten track. Staying with a local or in your own cottage is far more unique than staying in a generic hotel you could find anywhere in the world. Use the map below to search for the perfect Airbnb stay within this charming part of France. If you are a regular reader of this blog you will know that I always try my best to make a video to go with any blog post. In this video, I explore the wonders of "Le Parc aux Bombous". For viewers who enjoy the video, I have added some extra information on the wonders of Bamboo in the paragraphs below the video. Bamboo - The Stuff of Legends: In several Asian cultures, including that of the Andaman Islands, believe humanity emerged from a bamboo stem. In Philippine mythology, one of the more famous creation accounts tells of the first man, Malakás ("Strong"), and the first woman, Maganda ("Beautiful"), each emerged from one half of a split bamboo stem on an island formed after the battle between Sky and Ocean. In Malaysia, a similar story includes a man who dreams of a beautiful woman while sleeping under a bamboo plant; he wakes up and breaks the bamboo stem, discovering the woman inside. The Japanese folktale "Tale of the Bamboo Cutter" (Taketori Monogatari) tells of a princess from the Moon emerging from a shining bamboo section. Hawaiian bamboo ('Ohe) is a Kinolau or body form of the Polynesian creator god Kāne. A bamboo cane is also the weapon of Vietnamese legendary hero, Thánh Gióng, who had grown up immediately and magically since the age of three because of his wish to liberate his land from Ân invaders. The ancient Vietnamese legend Cây tre trăm đốt (The Hundred-knot Bamboo Tree) tells of a poor, young farmer who fell in love with his landlord's beautiful daughter. The farmer asked the landlord for his daughter's hand in marriage, but the proud landlord would not allow her to be bound in marriage to a poor farmer. The landlord decided to foil the marriage with an impossible deal; the farmer must bring him a "bamboo tree of 100 nodes". But Gautama Buddha (Bụt was his name) appeared to the farmer and told him that such a tree could be made from 100 nodes from several different trees. Bụt gave to him four magic words to attach the many nodes of bamboo: Khắc nhập, khắc xuất, which means "joined together immediately, fell apart immediately". The triumphant farmer returned to the landlord and demanded his daughter. Curious to see such a long bamboo, the landlord was magically joined to the bamboo when he touched it, as the young farmer said the first two magic words. The story ends with the happy marriage of the farmer and the landlord's daughter after the landlord agreed to the marriage and asked to be separated from the bamboo. In a Chinese legend, Emperor Yao gave two of his daughters to the future Emperor Shun as a test for his potential to rule. Shun passed the test of being able to run his household with the two emperor's daughters as wives, and thus Yao made Shun his successor, bypassing his unworthy son. After Shun's death, the tears of his two bereaved wives fell upon the bamboos growing there explains the origin of spotted bamboo. The two women later became goddesses Xiangshuishen after drowning themselves in the Xiang River. Because bamboo can grow on otherwise marginal land, bamboo can be profitably cultivated in many degraded lands. Moreover, because the rapid growth of bamboo is an effective climate change mitigation and carbon sequestration crop, absorbing between 100 and 400 tonnes of carbon per hectare Bamboo is harvested from both cultivated and wild stands, and some of the larger bamboos, particularly species in the genus Phyllostachys, are known as "timber bamboos". Bamboo is typically harvested as source material for construction, food, crafts and other manufactured goods. Bamboo cultivation in South, South East Asia and East Asia stretches back thousands of years. One practice, in South Korea, has been designated as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems. Harvesting The durability of bamboo in construction is directly related to how well it is handled from the moment of planting through harvesting, transportation, storage, design, construction, and maintenance. Bamboo harvested at the correct time of year and then exposed to ground contact or rain will break down just as quickly as incorrectly harvested material. Uses for Bamboo Culinary Although the shoots (newly emerged culms) of bamboo contain a toxin taxiphyllin (a cyanogenic glycoside) that produces cyanide in the gut, proper processing renders them edible. They are used in numerous Asian dishes and broths, and are available in supermarkets in various sliced forms, in both fresh and canned versions.. Kitchenware The empty hollow in the stalks of larger bamboo is often used to cook food in many Asian cultures. Soups are boiled and rice is cooked in the hollows of fresh stalks of bamboo directly over a flame. Similarly, steamed tea is sometimes rammed into bamboo hollows to produce compressed forms of Pu-erh tea. Cooking food in bamboo is said to give the food a subtle but distinctive taste. In addition, bamboo is frequently used for cooking utensils within many cultures and is used in the manufacture of chopsticks. In modern times, some see bamboo tools as an eco-friendly alternative to other manufactured utensils. Fuel Bamboo charcoal has been traditionally used as fuel in China and Japan. Bamboo can also be utilized as a biofuel crop. Writing In old times, people in India used hand made pens (known as Kalam) made from thin bamboo sticks (with diameters of 5–10 mm and lengths of 100–150 mm) by simply peeling them on one side and making a nib-like pattern at the end. The pen would then be dipped in ink for writing. Fabric Textiles Bamboo textile is any cloth, yarn or clothing made from bamboo fibres. While historically used only for structural elements, such as bustles and the ribs of corsets, in recent years different technologies have been developed that allow bamboo fibre to be used for a wide range of textile and fashion applications. Examples include clothing such as shirt tops, pants, socks for adults and children as well as bedding such as sheets and pillow covers. Bamboo yarn can also be blended with other textile fibres such as hemp or spandex. Bamboo is an alternative to plastic that is renewable and can be replenished at a fast rate. Modern clothing labelled as being made from bamboo is usually viscose rayon, a fibre made by dissolving the cellulose in the bamboo and then extruding it to form fibres. This process removes the natural characteristics of bamboo fibre, rendering it identical to rayon from other cellulose sources. Bamboo was used by humans for various purposes at a very early time. Categories of Bambooworking include Construction Bamboo, like true wood, is a natural building material with a high strength-to-weight ratio useful for structures. In its natural form, bamboo as a construction material is traditionally associated with the cultures of South Asia, East Asia, and the South Pacific, to some extent in Central and South America, and by extension in the aesthetic of Tiki culture. In China and India, bamboo was used to hold up simple suspension bridges, either by making cables of split bamboo or twisting whole culms of sufficiently pliable bamboo together. Bamboo has also long been used as scaffolding; the practice has been banned in China for buildings over six stories but is still in continuous use for skyscrapers in Hong Kong. In the Philippines, the nipa hut is a fairly typical example of the most basic sort of housing where bamboo is used; the walls are split and woven bamboo and bamboo slats and poles may be used as its support. In Japanese architecture, bamboo is used primarily as a supplemental or decorative element in buildings such as fencing, fountains, grates, and gutters, largely due to the ready abundance of quality timber. Textiles As a writing surface Bamboo was in widespread use in early China as a medium for written documents. The earliest surviving examples of such documents, written in ink on string-bound bundles of bamboo strips (or "slips"), date from the 5th century BC during the Warring States period. However, references in earlier texts surviving on other media make it clear that some precursor of these Warring States period bamboo slips was in use as early as the late Shang period (from about 1250 BC). Bamboo or wooden strips were used as the standard writing material during the early Han dynasty, and excavated examples have been found in abundance. Subsequently, paper began to displace bamboo and wooden strips from mainstream uses, and by the 4th century AD, bamboo slips had been largely abandoned as a medium for writing in China. Bamboo fibre has been used to make paper in China since early times. A high-quality, handmade paper is still produced in small quantities. Coarse bamboo paper is still used to make spirit money in many Chinese communities. Bamboo pulps are mainly produced in China, Myanmar, Thailand, and India, and are used in printing and writing papers. Several paper industries are surviving on bamboo forests. Ballarpur (Chandrapur, Maharastra) paper mills use bamboo for paper production. The most common bamboo species used for paper are Dendrocalamus asper and Bambusa blumeana. It is also possible to make dissolving pulp from bamboo. The average fibre length is similar to hardwoods, but the properties of bamboo pulp are closer to softwood pulps due to it having a very broad fibre length distribution. With the help of molecular tools, it is now possible to distinguish the superior fibre-yielding species/varieties even at juvenile stages of their growth, which can help in unadulterated merchandise production. Weapons Bamboo has often been used to construct weapons and is still incorporated in several Asian martial arts. A bamboo staff, sometimes with one end sharpened, is used in the Tamil martial art of silambam, a word derived from a term meaning "hill bamboo". Staves used in the Indian martial art of gatka are commonly made from bamboo, a material favoured for its lightweight. A bamboo sword called a shinai is used in the Japanese martial art of Kendo. Bamboo is used for crafting the bows, called Yumi, and arrows used in the Japanese martial art Kyūdō. Bamboo is sometimes used to craft the limbs of the longbow and recurve bow used in traditional archery, and to make superior weapons for bowhunting and target archery. The first gunpowder-based weapons, such as the fire lance, were made of bamboo. Bamboo was apparently used in East and South Asia as a means of torture. Musical instruments There are numerous types of bamboo flutes made all over the world Bamboo may be used in the construction of the Australian didgeridoo instead of the more traditional eucalyptus wood. Bamboo is also used to make slit drums. Bamboo has also recently been used for the manufacture of guitars and ukuleles. Bamboo Ukuleles are constructed of solid cross-laminated bamboo strips, not plywood. Other uses Bamboo has traditionally been used to make a wide range of everyday utensils and cutting boards, particularly in Japan, where archaeological excavations have uncovered bamboo baskets dating to the Late Jōmon period (2000–1000 BC). Bamboo has a long history of use in Asian furniture. Chinese bamboo furniture is a distinct style based on a millennia-long tradition, and bamboo is also used for floors due to its high hardness. Several manufacturers offer bamboo bicycles, surfboards, snowboards, and skateboards. Due to its flexibility, bamboo is also used to make fishing rods. The split cane rod is especially prized for fly fishing. Bamboo has been traditionally used in Malaysia as a firecracker called a meriam buluh or bamboo cannon. Four-foot-long sections of bamboo are cut, and a mixture of water and calcium carbide are introduced. The resulting acetylene gas is ignited with a stick, producing a loud bang. Bamboo can be used in water desalination. A bamboo filter is used to remove the salt from seawater. Many ethnic groups in remote areas that have water access in Asia use bamboo that is 3–5 years old to make rafts. They use 8 to 12 poles, 6–7 m (20–23 ft) long, laid together side by side to a width of about 1 m (3 ft). Once the poles are lined up together, they cut a hole crosswise through the poles at each end and use a small bamboo pole pushed through that hole like a screw to hold all the long bamboo poles together. Floating houses use whole bamboo stalks tied together in a big bunch to support the house floating in the water. Bamboo is also used to make eating utensils such as chopsticks, trays, and tea scoops. I hope you have a great time at the Le Parc aux Bombous should you visit. I am not sponsored by the French Government or any Travel Group, I simply have written this post as I enjoy travelling. • Locked out from Protesting

It can't be cheap to Police the rabble that makes up most populations. Some rabbles (and I include myself in that rabble) can be very difficult to police while other rabbles are so easy that the head of the force probably wonders how they will keep their jobs. The lack of crime in Japan is a perfect example of this. However, I do not live in homogenous culturally rich Japan, I live in the Big Smoke (old London town). A city dripping in history but due to its fame, location and draw, it is a city which is bloated at the belt due to the number of new arrivals who make London their home each new year. Those who own the land rub their hands together as they know with each passing year they will be able to charge higher and higher premiums for their London land. The new arrivals of course compete and realise the streets of London are not paved with Gold. And with this; crime escalates as young men seek to grab a piece of the action their inflated low moral expectations have come to expect. As crime increases exponentially the Metropolitan Police and similar Western Police forces around the world who are also experiencing the same enrichment can't help but get busier and busier. You would think with their days becoming busier and busier they wouldn't have the time or inclination to bother policing those who are peacefully protesting. How wrong you would be! Violent crime is now guaranteed to happen every night in London due to the British Governments liberal open-door policy to common criminals from around the world. Plenty of tasks for the London Bobby to take care of if they were so inclined. And yet be the victim of a violent attack and you will most likely never get a visit from a Police Officer, but voice your discontent for the authoritarian lockdown laws and you will likely be arrested and charged £10,000 for putting that political Anti-Lockdown protest on. Case in Point Mr Piers Corbyn. What this now means is the British Public are not allowed to Protest the "Plandemic" that has been carried out since the start of 2020. It began with drumming up the fear of what was to come. Then it was locking the country down to keep the curve down and then it dragged on and on putting multiple small businesses out of business and millions out of work and onto the scrap heap. It was to save lives they insisted and yet if you read my thoughts on this scam in my post here you will come to understand why it has been done. A free society should value the voice of all people and all should have the right to protest peacefully and with tolerance from those in charge. And yet, in 2020, it would seem the British Government and the British Police do not want those that speak out against the "Plandemic" to protest. Those who speak out against it will be censored and will be financially punished. You may disagree with those protesting but do you really want to live in a world where being a dissident to the MSM and the Government will get you arrested and fined? But then again maybe you don't care as you side with BLM and for them, the Metropolitan Police will bend a knee and allow them to destroy monuments and buildings all in the name of Cultural Marxism. Is this tiered Policing or are they just that lazy they can't even be bothered to hide their agenda anymore? I attended the Anti-Lockdown / Anti-Plandemic Protest David Icke gave a speech at and sadly as my camera died I witnessed Piers Corbyn being snatched by Policemen and arrested before later being fined £10,000. I think our government and our police force who have plenty of real crimes to be policing are behaving rather sinisterly as of late and those who are indifferent to it all need to wake up. Censorship and Intimidation wouldn't happen if they didn't have something sinister to hide. It turns out this video has been shadowbanned by the YouTube Gods. The Moderators at YouTube have flagged this video making sure it won't appear in any recommended lists. Time allows you to wonder about life and the universe and yet sadly the time we have is never enough. I recently found myself wondering if the Seven Sisters Cliffs could be England's most magnificent coastal walk. Does one have the time to discover this wonder? Well, I recently discovered that The Seven Sisters Cliffs can be appreciated in less than a day and they make for the perfect day trip out of London. No wonder why so many people now go seeking them out in the 2020s. However, before we proceed some truths about what they are. The Seven Sisters are a series of chalk cliffs by the English Channel. They form part of the South Downs in East Sussex, between the towns of Seaford and Eastbourne in southern England. They are the remnants of dry valleys in the chalk South Downs, which are gradually being eroded by the sea. The Cliffs are white because the chalk was formed in the Late Cretaceous epoch, between 66 and 100 million years ago, when the area was under the sea. During the Cenozoic Era, the chalk was uplifted. When the last Ice Age ended, sea levels rose and the English Channel formed, cutting into the chalk to form the dramatic cliffs along the Sussex coast. To visit the Seven Sisters, I and many others who have taken in this natural wonder would advise simply taking the train from Central London to Eastbourne. Of course one could always drive there but why get stuck in traffic for hours upon hours? When, instead you could be in Eastbourne from Central London (Waterloo, Clapham Junction, East Croydon) in just over an hour. Those who understand how Britain's rail networks work will know it always makes sense to plan your journeys in advance. If you use Tainline.com to book a ticket, days in advance. You will save a small fortune, over the price the rail operators will charge you if purchased on the day. Recently I found myself on the train to Eastbourne for the reason that I had never taken the time to explore this part of England. You can fly thousands of miles around the world and yet when a place is on your doorstep you may find you won't take the time to visit it. Thankfully I'm trying my best to see every wonder on this planet and that includes those to be found in the United Kingdom and especially England. I think because I have lived for most of my life in London I had no motivation to visit the Seven Sisters before. I ignorantly associated it with its namesake in Tottenham London a place more famous for Ikea and knife crime than natural landscapes. Thankfully I changed that sheltered perspective and now I urge all those who haven't visited this part of the world to take a moment and wonder if you should also. Perfect for a day off, a weekend break or a random escape from the big smoke. A journey to Eastbourne, followed by a long walk to the medieval English seaside town of Seaford. Will, I can assure you, not disappoint - even the most cynical of England will fall for its charms upon making this tour. Of course, choose your day wisely. Pick a cold wet day and you may not see the glorious landscape that will engulf every step that you could take. Pick a sunny weekend and the place may be overrun by those who seek that same adventure just like you. You will all have one thing in common and yet all will be strangers to you. They will be the ones blurring the landscape as they glide past you in either direction - some will nod in old England ways as once did. While others will exploit only caring about their needs and no one others. As you leave manicured and quaint Eastbourne behind you and set forth in a westerly direction the South Downs will present themselves to you in their rolling fashion. Ascend up the sloping hills and discover the acres of pasture bought for the locals of Eastbourne by a very generous wealthy individual, when the people of England without a doubt were almost all English. As you rise through the pasture you will find yourself on England's highest Cliff edge - that of Beachy Head. The cliff is the highest chalk sea cliff in all of Britain, rising to 162 metres (531 ft) above sea level. The peak allows views of the southeast coast from Dungeness in the east to the Isle of Wight in the west. Its height has also made it one of the most common suicide spots in the world. And, yet any visitor in their right mind will witness this spot and I hope will only think how life is too wonderful to ever contemplate jumping. These chalk cliffs are in my mind even more exceptional than the famous White Cliffs of Dover east of there. And certainly more accessible. While the White Cliffs of Dover look mighty and glorious as you sail out to sea or into port as you return back from France. Walking along them pales in comparison to those in East Sussex. The Seven Sisters that are found east of Beachy head all the way to Seaford and something really to behold. Wave action contributes towards the erosion of cliffs around Beachy Head, which experience frequent small rock falls. Since chalk forms in layers separated by contiguous bands of flints, the physical structure affects how the cliffs erode. Wave action undermines the lower cliffs, causing frequent slab failures - slabs from layers of chalk break off, undermining the upper parts of the cliffs, which eventually collapse. In contrast to small rock falls, mass movements are less common. A Geologist or an individual fascinated by the Physical Geography of our planet will have a more monumental day than those who simply enjoy the scenery and a good walk in the fresh sea air. The signs of weathering, attrition, longshore drift, the power of Glaciers and plate tectonics can be seen for miles and all around you as you head west towards the seven sisters and its various peaks and troughs. I must say, it brought those Geography lessons flooding back to me, that I remember so fondly. Regular viewers of this channel will know no trip would not be complete without a YouTube video documenting the day's adventures. I would like to present to you: "Walking the Seven Sisters" If you are considering making a weekend out of it or simply think it wise to stay at least one night in the town of Eastbourne, Seaford or one of the many villages that dot the South Downs. There are a number of options to choose from to suit all budgets. Over the years, I've had the fortune to stay in an array of hotels, apartments and various forms of accommodation while travelling. For the majority of travellers, I recommend Booking.com - yes there are hotel comparison websites such as Trivago and Kayak. However, from my years of travel experience, I've discovered both of these comparison websites do not have all the hotels, hostels and apartments listed. The reasons behind this could be some premises simply do not pay the comparison sights a fee or the reason could be something else. If you know of the reason do leave a comment below. However, I have discovered no matter what the location Booking.com will 9/10ths of the time have the most competitive deal and generally the most choice. However, if you are super keen to get the best deal- use Booking.com, Kayak, Trivago, Lastminute.com and Hotels.com in separate browser windows. An alternative which I do recommend for your accommodation is Airbnb. The authorities still allow Airbnb in the UK (it hasn't been banned just yet). I've booked many apartments via Airbnb. If you have not used them before (you have probably been living under a rock). I hope you have a great time at the Seven Sisters should you visit. I am not sponsored by the British Government or any Travel Group, I simply have written this post as I enjoy travelling. • Your Leaders destroyed the Economy on purpose....

2020 hasn't been a good year for many people although it really need not have been this way. Take a few seconds to think for a moment and ask yourself why 2020 hasn't been a good year for many. A logical person could only come to one conclusion: We allowed our leaders to destroy the economy and our way of life by allowing them to push fear onto the Population through their Press releases and through the Media who are entirely controlled by the few. But we needed to stop the virus you say! A Cold virus (As that is what a Corona Virus is), has been used as an excuse to conduct the biggest Psychological operation in the history of mankind. However, before I go any further down this invasive rabbit hole, let us be clear what a PsyOp is. Psychological operations (PSYOP) are operations to convey selected information and indicators to populations to influence their emotions, motives, and objective reasoning, and ultimately the behaviour of governments, organizations, groups, and individuals. And yet, in this case, the end game was to change our behaviour for the coming New World Order. The purpose of any PsyOp is to induce or reinforce behaviour favourable to the objectives. They are an important part of the range of diplomatic, informational, military and economic activities available to the Globalists. They can be utilized during both peacetime and conflict. There are three main types: strategic, operational and tactical. Strategic PSYOP includes informational activities conducted by the government agencies outside of the military arena, though many will often utilize Defense assets. Operational PSYOP is conducted across the range of military operations, including during peacetime, in a defined operational area to promote the effectiveness of the joint force commander's campaigns and strategies. Tactical PSYOP is conducted in the area assigned to a tactical commander across the range of military operations to support the tactical mission against opposing forces. A PSYOP can encourage popular discontent with an opposition's leadership and by combining persuasion with a credible threat, degrade an adversary's ability to conduct or sustain military operations. They can also disrupt, confuse, and protract the adversary's decision-making process, undermining command and control. When properly employed, a PSYOP has the potential to save the lives of friendly or enemy forces by reducing the adversary's will to fight. By lowering the adversary's morale and then its efficiency, a PSYOP can also discourage aggressive actions by creating disaffection within their ranks, ultimately leading to surrender. The integrated employment of the core capabilities of electronic warfare, computer network operations, psychological operations, military deception, and operations security, in concert with specified supporting and related capabilities, to influence, disrupt, corrupt or usurp adversarial human and automated decision making while protecting our own. A Black PSYOP - Could Covid-19 be a Black PsyOp? The activity engaged in appears to emanate from a source (government, party, group, organization, person) usually hostile in nature. The interest of the government is concealed and the government would deny responsibility. It is best used in support of strategic plans. The use of Covert PSYOPs will always be denied and Governments and the Shadow Governments of the world get away with this, as they will usually, always use special operations due to their political sensitivity and need for higher-level compartmentalisation. For any black PSYOP, to be credible, it may need to disclose sensitive material, with the damage caused by information disclosure considered to be outweighed by the impact of successful deception. In order to achieve maximum results and to prevent compromise of overt PSYOP, overt and covert operations need to be kept separate. Personnel involved in one must not be engaged in the other. The Media - The perfect tool to push the Covid-19 Fear The media in the 2020s plays the biggest role in all PSYOPs. The Media convey messages via visual, audio, and audiovisual media. Long gone are there days where the Military psychological operations at the tactical level, are delivering the message entirely by loudspeaker, and face to face communication. Although when Global Marshall Law is imposed and it will come, this will be one of the ways the Military will push their disinformation onto the unsuspecting population. For more deliberate campaigns, they may use leaflets, radio or television. Strategic operations may use radio or television broadcasts, various publications, airdropped leaflets, or, as part of a covert operation, with material placed in foreign news media. Why do I feel 2020 has been one big Black Covert PsyOp? Well, the world does have a history of PsyOps on unsuspecting populations. You would only have to be a little cynical to expect Globalists to do one again. Back before the world was being taken over by Neo Marxists The U.S. engaged in major worldwide radio broadcasts to combat communism, through Radio Free Europe and Radio Liberty. The USA used extensive PsyOps during the Korean war, Guatemala Operations, Vietnam, Nicaragua and even in little old Sweden. Arguably, the most visible image of the 2003 invasion of Iraq was the toppling of a statue of Saddam Hussein in Firdos Square in central Baghdad. Allegations that the event was staged have been widely published. It is claimed by many that it was actually an idea hatched by the US Army psychological operations team. Allegations surfaced that not only were the cheering group of people surrounding the statue, in fact, smaller than they were made out to be, in media depictions but that also the group were not local to the area and were instead brought in by the military for the specific purpose, of watching and lending credence to the pre-planned toppling of Saddam's Regime. Many would argue the war in Syria, Libya, Afghanistan and the rest were all influenced by the PsyOps controlling the US-Led media. And yet I hear many ask why would a Pandemic be a PsyOp? I do not deny the virus is real. But so what, if this virus was man-made or naturally occurring it really does not matter. The Virus is not deadly to Children. And only mildly deadly to those who have very severe underlying health conditions. This isn't the first Corona Virus and it won't be the last. Globalist puppet Leaders positioned in office all over the world were given orders by their Shadow controllers that this virus needed to be contained. However, how can you possibly contain something when we live in a world where Pre-COVID there are more than 100,000+ flights a day. A virus that is harmless to 99%+ of the population and only deadly to less than 0.1% of the global population when once out of the Wuhan lab was destined to travel all over the world. 2 metres and muzzles may slow a virus but it will never rid the world of the virus. And yet the Global population was ordered by most Governments to isolate and shut down. Why on earth would they do this when clearly Hospitals never even got close to breaking point? On March 11th 2020 the World Health Organisation declared a Global Pandemic. This is the same organisation that only months earlier had claimed Covid-19 couldn't be passed from humans to humans and also the same organisation that claimed Masks were next to useless. And yet if we look at the Global deaths only 2 days earlier. You would question why suddenly Covid-19 was a pandemic but Tuberculosis of HIV was not. And yet this was the signal that started the Global Shut down for nations across the globe in the weeks that would proceed. The Original plan sold to global citizens of each nation under the rule of the Globalist Puppet leaders was (we were told) we must keep the curve down. The curve must be kept down so that health systems can cope. This would only last for a couple of weeks we were told. And yet when Lockdown began in most western nations at the end of March the lockdown remained for months and months. Citizens were neglected and hospital appointments were cancelled. Those with underlying health conditions and mental problems were left to isolate and sick old people who were at a higher risk to any cold or flu virus were neglected and forced together in care homes to fend for themselves cut off from the world. The British Government even admitted many so-called Covid-19 deaths were only recorded as Covid-19 as the person on the death certificate had tested positive for Covid-19 months before. It wasn't relevant that the motorcycle accident killed the poor chap. The mission was to instil fear on the population and claim the Pandemic was getting worse and worse despite dead bodies never appearing in the streets. The British Government isn't the only government guilty of inflating the Covid-19 numbers. The USA has also been caught inflating its numbers. Hospitals were being bribed to write Covid-19 on death certificates for a financial incentive. And yet despite all these fictitious deaths - this year isn't exceptional, at least when it comes to deaths by Flu / Cold virus. As the chart below exhibits. In an average year, Flu kills 650,000 a year Globally. To date, if we are to believe the inflated numbers (August 23rd 2020) Covid-19 has killed 800,000. We already know some of those numbers are motorcycle accidents. A slightly above-average year in deaths is not a reason to destroy the Global economy or take our liberties away. Thus, in accepting that lockdown should never have happened and this virus is no more exceptional than those of previous years you have to ask yourself - why did those who control our governments from the shadows impose these authoritarian measures upon us? Demoralisation, Dehumanisation, Crisis and Normalisation The Lockdown was imposed to crash the global economy - it was imposed upon the unsuspecting obedient population to bring change to the planet. Crash the economy and isolate the masses you suddenly demoralise the people. Why on earth would you want Demoralised people? Within an established totalitarian regime, the purpose of Propaganda is not to persuade, much less to inform, but rather humiliate. As the public came wise to the fact they couldn't be under lockdown forever. Measures were put in place to remind the population that Big Government is looking out for them with this Pandemic despite it being no worse than previous flu seasons. Masks would become mandatory and you would get used to being herded and dehumanised like cattle everywhere you now go. Those who questioned this crisis would be ridiculed and ostracised and later I predict penalised. The compliant masses would in time accept the new normalisation that was brought into place from months of incremental steps. Propaganda should not approximate to the truth as closely as possible: on the contrary, it should do as much violence to it as possible. For by endlessly asserting what is patently untrue, by making such untruth ubiquitous and unavoidable, and finally by insisting that everyone publicly acquiesce in it, the regime (The New World Order) displays its power and reduces individuals to nullities. We are now living in a system thanks to this Planned Crisis closer to Communism than a free market where we have lost our freedoms. Question the system and disobey, your neighbours quickly become the new Stasi of the 2020s. Enter a shop or a public establishment without a face muzzle you risk suffering the wrath of strangers and fines from the overbearing police state. In Australia, Melbourne cops think it's appropriate to body slam private citizens who walk out in public without a face muzzle. Boris Johnson thinks it's acceptable to threaten the British public with £3000 fines for repeat offenders. How life has changed in 12 months! Apart from the massacres, deaths and famines for which communism was responsible, the worst thing about the system was the official lying: that is to say, the lying in which everyone was forced to take part, by repetition, assent or failure to contradict. The purpose of propaganda in communist countries was not to persuade, much less to inform, but to humiliate and emasculate. In this sense, the less true it was, the less it corresponded in any way to reality, the better, the more it contradicted the experience of the persons to whom it was directed, the more docile. self-dispising for their failure to protest and thus impotent they became. Small business owners who have lost their businesses, can not protest at their freedom to do business being taken away, "for we are fighting a Pandemic" they say! More lives have been ruined by our masters taking the decision to lock down than any flu-like virus could ever do to a population. Suicides are at an all-time high for all western nations, particularly among men. Those who tune into the MSM and soak up the PsyOp Propaganda have been living in Fear since the Pandemic was announced. Anxious that they, or loved ones, may catch this deadly virus that is practically non-threatening to children. A population living under fear and anxiety will now have a weakened immune system. A swiss report (July 2020) analysed 3 months of lockdown and predicted at least 2% of the Swiss Population would lose a decade of life each due to mental health issues and suicide alone. Millions have been made unemployed around the world. A South African study, suggested the harm and suffering, due to lockdown, would cause 29x the harm that Covid-19 would ever cause. In a (rather fitting) 1984 study it was observed by the American Association for the International Commission of Jurists (A A ICJ) that one of the main instruments employed by governments to repress and deny the fundamental rights and freedoms of peoples has been the illegal and unwarranted Declaration of Martial Law or a State of Emergency. Very often these measures are taken under the pretext of the existence of a “public emergency which threatens the life of the nation” or “threats to its national security.” The abuse of applicable provisions allowing governments to limit and derogate from certain rights contained in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights has resulted in the need for a closer examination of the conditions and grounds for permissible limitations and derogations in order to achieve effective implementation of the rule of law. The seizure of assets and freedoms is only going to accelerate. The only reason we are being conditioned to wear Sharia-compliant Muzzles on our faces is to prepare us for the next phase. The mouthpiece of the Globalist MSM networks has been warning us for months that we should ready or ourselves for a second wave when Winter comes to the Northern Hemisphere. Expect authorities to mirror what we have been seeing in Melbourne Australia. Expect our freedoms to vanish for non-compliance and life to get far harder for those wanting to keep being paid. You will start to hear in the coming months the motto "No Jab, No Pay!". Although, I'm sure some corrupt marketing agency will come up with something better to facilitate there end game of Mandatory Vaccinations. Get ready for our human cattle branding that will likely come as a digital passport as I doubt they will be able to get away with a forced Tatoo or barcode. Why are containment measures being enforced when there are effective treatments available? Very good question and yet anytime a Doctor or a Scientist comes out saying they have a treatment for Covid-19 they are discredited and slandered by our Globalist controlled Media. If you are an independent journalist and you want to write about effective Covid-19 treatments you are discredited by the news organisations and told never to look elsewhere. Careers are ended if you question the Vaccine that all says is coming. The end game of this PsyOp is the Vaccine, so do not even think about promoting a healthy lifestyle and a treatment that gets in the way of the vaccine. "They won't be able to make Vaccines Mandatory" I wish I could agree with you there. At first, the majority of the population who trusts the government, those who you see enforcing the muzzles in public upon others, will be the ones queuing for 'the fastest ever' delivered vaccine in human history. Once, these have taken up the vaccine you would expect under a non-sinister scenario that they would be happy with the majority of the herd being vaccinated but as this is the biggest PsyOp of our known history they won't stop there. The public will be incentivised globally to take up the vaccine at first, possibly rewarded with vouchers or money from the magic money tree and then suddenly you have the first social credit system outside of China. Dissidents will be outcast from society. Their Universal Credit / Social Security payments (that many became so reliant upon as the Economy was crashed) will stop "No Jab, No Pay!" they will be told. Those looking to escape the country won't be able to escape as airlines, ferries, and train companies will refuse access unless you can show your Vaccine Passport stamp when making the booking. Your bank will then update their database with some new Financial Fraud Regulation and demand if you want to keep your account open you will have to present updated Identification. If your ID doesn't have your Vaccine your banking will be denied. Want to keep working for your employer, your employer's Insurance company will insist every employee needs to be vaccinated or that employer will lose their insurance. Life will become impossible for those who refuse to take up the vaccine. The few stragglers who remain out of the system with their stockpile of CryptoCurrency will eventually be hunted by the state as they will be declared by the obedient masses and their relevant Government as an Enemy of the state. This is when forced branding will eventually take place. However, you will see life will be very difficult before they get to this point. Nothing is set in stone and yet I haven't been wrong about the steps yet (see past posts, videos and tweets). I really hope I'm wrong but Globalists always announce publicly via the Media what they will do before they actually do something. Almost like it's a game to them and the population is but a toy. We the plebs, the majority, the silent can stand against this tyranny but choose your move wisely as those in power have agents working for them everywhere. Do not go silent into the night. • Medieval Europe perfected for the 21st Century Tourist

Illustrious Historians from our past most likely never studied or cared for the shallow delights of Marketing. Thanks to people like Steven Speilberg at least the Jurassic age has a timeless pull factor for those of any inquisitive mind. And yet when one thinks of the hideously titled "The Dark Ages", it doesn't have quite the same ring to it as that of the Age of Discovery or even the Roaring Twenties. The marketing department clearly never made it's way to the dusty History department of Scholars who set in stone Medieval times would forever be known as "The Dark Ages". Despite this poor branding, we would not be the accomplished Europeans or even humans of planet earth without the history of the Dark Ages. Events that occurred way back then set us on the path we now find ourselves today. Those that came before us laid the foundations for the greatest civilisation ever - that of Western Civilisation. Carcassonne in Southwestern France in the department of Aude, in the region of Occitanie, is a city that emerged during the Dark Ages influencing the path Europe took as its fortress walls were fought over. Time theorists could speculate that had events gone a different way there's a chance France would not exist and Europe may now be a Caliphate. Keen historians will tell you that so many changes of the guard happened in and around the Cité de Carcassonne, this little city is drenched in a colourful history that should be appreciated and enjoyed by all visitors to France. For a day trip or even a weekend, Carcassonne is a destination that should be admired up close. The main draw to any visitor is the medieval fortress dating back to the Gallo-Roman period and restored by the forward-thinking theorist and architect Eugène Viollet-le-Duc in 1853. It was added to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 1997. However, outside the Fortress the commercial city where locals spend most of their time should not be written off. Both have their charms but one has significantly more old-world charm than the other. To get to Carcassonne if you are not from France, I recommend flying into Carcassonne airport itself. However, the city is also very reachable if you fly to Toulouse in the west or Perpignan in the east. Many of Europe's numerous Airlines fly into one of those 3 airports - depending on where you are flying from. You are of course more than likely to be able to pick up a good deal if planned ahead. Kayak, Google Flights and Skyscanner should be the go-to websites for searching for the best flight deals. In my personal experience, my favourite place to go for European flight deals is Skyscanner. For some reason, Skyscanner works best when searching for European Flights over any of its rivals. Upon arriving at Carcassonne Airport I would recommend exploring this part of France in your own rental car. There is a distinct lack of good public transport in this part of France. Yes, it's possible to travel from major cities via train but if you really want to get stuck into exploring the beautiful countryside it is worthwhile renting a car for your time spent in France. I am happy to recommend this car comparison website which is guaranteed to get you the best deal. Very recently I found myself in this bright and not in any way dark city. I toured for your viewing pleasure the citadel, known as the Cité de Carcassonne. Of course, regular readers of this website will not be surprised to learn a YouTube Video from my channel The Wondering Englishman takes in the delights of Carcassonne. Do take the time to view if Carcassonne is on your bucket list. It may persuade you to take that detour next time you are driving through Southern France. If you are considering making a weekend of it or simply think it wise to stay at least one night in the fine city of Carcassonne there are a number of options to choose from to suit all budgets. Over the years, I've had the fortune to stay in an array of hotels, apartments and various forms of accommodation while travelling. For the majority of travellers, I recommend Booking.com - yes there are hotel comparison websites such as Trivago and Kayak. An alternative which I do recommend for your accommodation is Airbnb. The authorities still allow Airbnb in the town (it hasn't been banned just yet). I've booked several apartments via Airbnb. If you have not used them before (you have probably been living under a rock). But if you use this referral link you will get many Dollars, Pounds or Euros off your first booking and I'll get a very small referral kickback. • Sorèze - France - once a place exclusively for Schoolboys destined to explore the world

The town of Sorèze is in the Tarn South, the borders of three departments, Haute-Garonne, Tarn and Aude and the Regional Natural Park of Haut Languedoc. It sits cosily at the foot of the Black Mountains which sources the Canal du Midi. A once significant transport canal to the area but now more popular with tourists. As I walked around Sorèze I discover it is more of a commune than a town at least in the centre. However, as populations have grown Soreze is a town with a population of just under 3000. The half-timbered houses and corbels (sixteenth and seventeenth century.), Its artisans and artists, the steeple Saint Martin (fifteenth century.), The Saint-Martin tower (15th Century) is an imposing but elegant historical monument that stands proud despite only being a ruin. It is the only remains of the parish church of the fifteenth century. Sorèze isn't exactly going to take you long to see should you venture there for the day. Other highlights include the glass museum and the museum of Dom Robert and tapestry of the twentieth century. However, what is of most significance in this pristine town is, of course, the old abbey school. The Abbey School dates back to the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Its history is linked to that of education in France, in Europe and in the world because of its international recruitment. She became one of twelve royal military schools in the reign of Louis XVI. With only seven restaurants listed on Tripadvisor, you don't exactly have much choice in places to go. However, for a day trip, I recommend booking the Pub Saint Martin. Here I dined on the 13 euro lunch menu which included more than enough wine. It's also rated the number 1 restaurant on TripAdvisor so I and many others can't be too far off the mark in our recommendation. You may wish to stay in Sorèze to take the surrounding area. As surrounding Sorèze you have the countryside to the east which includes lakes, caves and waterfalls and the Dominial Forest of the Montagne Noire (The Black Mountains). The most interesting villages nearby include Revel, Saissac, Montolieu (well known for its bookshops) and Durfort. A little further afield, the town of Castelnaudary is well known for its cassoulet, and Carcassonne to the south-east is about 50 kilometres from Soréze but is one of the most impressive medieval towns in the world and well worth visiting. To get to Sorèze if you are not from France I recommend flying into Carcassonne but it is also very reachable if you fly to Toulouse in the west, or Perpignan in the east. Over the years, I've had the fortune to stay in an array of hotels, apartments and various forms of accommodation while travelling. I'm an Airbnb host as well as a frequent Airbnb traveller. I love Airbnb because not only does it make travelling more affordable but it also allows you to stay off the beaten track. • Revèl France - A Market town in the South of France that comes alive on Saturday

As the brakes come off the Global Lockdown, it gives many of us, a needed excuse to go out there and explore. I recently found myself in the South of France (although some may call it southwestern France) in the Haute-Garonne department of France. One of the original 83 departments created during the French Revolution on 4 March 1790. Created from part of the former province of Languedoc. I just happened to find myself in the usually sleepy town of Revèl except today was Saturday and this was the day that Revèl has traditionally come alive. Revèl with a population just shy of 10,000 takes a deep breath in every Saturday when visitors pour into its Medieval centre and migrate on mass towards the Market Square. Steeped in over 650+ years of trading history visitors get a chance to purchase some of the finest local produce this area of France has to offer. From fresh Oysters, locally made Pâté and fruits so ripe you could eat them like candy. While all at the same time encountering wonderful french characters with each turn you take. Founded in 1342 by Philippe VI of Valois. The heart of Revel is its central market, Right in the centre of the market square is an ancient 14th-century building supported by a forest of pillars and beams. As you penetrate the centre of this truly beautiful medieval building you encounter the tourist office that allows access to what used to be the local Jail and also the Watchtower. To really get a perspective on the town it is recommended to head up to the top of the watchtower. Here you will see close up the Market squares beautiful clock tower and be able to look out across the wonderful landscape taking in the Black Mountains and the towns Notre Dame Cathedral. Look down into the square and you will hear the buzz of the visitors and full-time inhabitants doing their weekly shopping. Content in the knowledge that their ancestors and many like you will have partaken in an almost an identical activity for over 6 centuries in the exact same place and in the uniquely identical fashion. As Revèl grew over the ages and its market became more widely known it attracted some incredibly talented tradesmen. From the nineteenth century, cabinet makers, markers, sculptors, and bronzers made Revel the capital of the Furniture of Art. However, as the modern world has taken to pre-packed self-assembled minimal furniture from Sweden Revèl's furniture trade has contracted massively. Although, new furniture is still being made in the town and its history is celebrated at the furniture museum also found in the town. If you are curious about what a Market day looks and feels like in the days after COVID I've made a video where I walk around the market and then head up the watchtower to get the picturesque view over the bustling market town. And when you have had your fill of Markets, Cathedrals & Furniture you could take a short drive to the Saint-Ferréol lake. The Lakes beach is a stone's throw away from Revel. The centrepiece of the genial device created in the 17th century by Pierre-Paul Riquet to supply water to the Canal du Midi, the Saint-Ferréol lake, classified as a World Heritage site. Humanity by UNESCO constitutes a tourist site to be frequented in all seasons. With its 80-hectare park, its waterfalls, its sheaf of water and its shaded alleys, the site offers all the pleasures of swimming (monitored in summer), fishing, discovering nature, as well as practising many sports: Boats, windsurfing, tennis, horse riding, hiking, mountain biking, climbing, speleology and gliding. I'm sure I've missed something there but it gives you an idea that there is something for every outdoor enthusiast. To get to Revel if you are not from France I recommend flying into Carcassone but it is also very reachable if you fly to Toulouse in the west or Perpignan in the east. Many of Europes numerous Airlines fly into one of those 3 airports - depending on where you are flying from. If you are tempted to visit Revel and the Saint-Ferréol lake, you could stay in one of the hotels, Auberges or Airbnbs that are in and around the area. The city authorities still allow Airbnb in the city (it hasn't been banned just yet). Staying with a local or in your own cottage is far more unique than staying in a generic hotel you could find anywhere in the world. • Cork Ireland - An Irish Gem that should be seen by the World

An old Irish proverb is said to go "May the road rise to meet you". I found myself thinking about this proverb as I walked the rolling streets of Cork on my recent visit. With each corner, I explored, I realised Cork Centre is in a basin and most likely situated on old marshland (after all Cork means Marsh in old Irish). The rolling hills that surround the centre make for wonderful walks as they rise and fall beneath your feet as you take in this quaint Irish city. Can Cork be seen in a day or even a weekend? I flew to Ireland from London with the ambition that I would get to know this Southern Irish city as best I could. Cork is Ireland's second-biggest city after Dublin the capital. Men from overseas like myself have been walking its rolling roads since 915 AD when the Vikings set up shop here. Their ambition was to trade with the unique natives. Known as the Rebel city due to the men who had ties to the War of the Roses. And yet many generations later, some Irish rebel folk still consider Cork to be the real capital of Ireland. This Englishman with Irish Blood (like the Morrissey song), had to been to Ireland many times over his many decades and yet strangely had never set foot in Cork. And yet when Ryanair is offering flights to Cork for £10 who could possibly say refuse?! It would be rude to say no I thought! So, off I went for a brief excursion. Cork Airport is served by most of Europes major Airlines - depending on where you are flying from. You are more than likely to be able to pick up a good deal if you plan ahead. Kayak, Google Flights and Skyscanner should be the go-to websites for searching for the best flight deals. However, my personal favourite for European flight deals is Skyscanner. For some reason, Skyscanner works best when searching for European Flights over any of its rivals. When you arrive at Cork Airport it's incredibly easy to get to the centre of the city. You will have 3 options: Rent a car Take the Bus Taxi On my recent trip, I elected to take the Bus. Journey time was about 15/20mins and cost a princely sum of 2 Euros and 80 cents. Bolt & Uber do exist in Cork so if you haven't signed up to either company use my codes for money off your first 2-3 journeys Use Code "uberAVT" to get money off your first journey with Uber. Use Code "HFDHF" to get money off your first journey with Bolt. If you want to rent a car in Ireland, I personally recommend AutoEurope. They offer competitive prices and in my mind good quality cars. They can be found at this link. If you are curious about how I spent 24 hours in Cork I made a video about that adventure. There are over 300 videos on my YouTube Channel The Wondering Englishman along similar lines each with unique adventures and destinations. To truly understand the city of Cork you really need a couple of days. However, I prove in the video that the city can be explored in 24 hours. Of course, I didn't see everything and if you really want to take advantage of all Cork has to offer from Museums to Pubs and Restaurants you will undoubtedly need more time there. But where should you stay when you arrive in Cork? Given its size staying anywhere around the city will suffice. There are a variety of options to pick from. I love Airbnb because not only does it make travelling more affordable but it also allows you to stay off the beaten track. Staying with a local or in your own cottage is far more unique than staying in a generic hotel you could find anywhere in the world. Upon arriving in the city you will be drawn to the centre. Cork is very compact, with most sights, restaurants and nightlife nestled around the centre. There are two cathedrals in the city; St. Mary's Cathedral and Saint Fin Barre's Cathedral. St Mary's Cathedral often referred to as the North Cathedral, is the Catholic cathedral of the city and was begun in 1808. Its distinctive tower was added in the 1860s. St Fin Barre's Cathedral serves the Church of Ireland (Anglican) and is possibly the more famous of the two. Being the second-largest city in Ireland and a hotbed for academic and scientific culture, there are a variety of things to keep you entertained should you not be obsessed with Irish pubs. From Opera to the theatre and to concerts and festivals. Oasis played a phenomenal and very famous gig in Cork many years back. If you have the legs and you like to run or walk long distances do not hesitate in exploring the outskirts of the city to really get a real feel for the city. I hope you have a great time in Cork Ireland should you visit. I am not sponsored by the Irish Government or any Travel Group, I simply have written this post as I enjoy travelling. • Izmir Turkey & a Wonder of the World

Izmir, Turkey - had you heard of it before today? You probably had. But, there's a small chance you may not have heard of it. Some people live lives where knowing every city in every corner of the planet isn't that important. I was reminded of Izmir just over a year ago when I was last in Turkey. I recall learning about it when I studied Latin at school and then looking at this dot on the map and Wondering if I would ever go there. After that Wonder - I have to admit - I kind of forgot all about it. Then, the opportunity came about to go there post Vienna. The flight was reasonably priced so I decided to book it and go see what Izmir and the surrounding area was like. Once again - I decided to document that adventure. It may not have the fame Istanbul has or the power Ankara has (I will be posting a video on Ankara soon). However, it is a charming city and a lot bigger than I expected it to be. My one regret - I simply didn't stay in the city long enough - I feel to really know a place you must spend weeks maybe months in the city you are trying to get to know. Maybe another time - however the brief tour of the city was enjoyable and rewarding. Post Izmir I rented a car so that I could go and find one of the seven wonders of the World. The Temple of Artemis or Artemision (Greek: Ἀρτεμίσιον; Turkish: Artemis Tapınağı), also known less precisely as the Temple of Diana, was a Greek temple dedicated to an ancient, local form of the goddess Artemis. It was located in Ephesus (near the modern town of Selçuk in present-day Turkey). And this is exactly where I decided to drive. First to the town of Selcuk where I could learn more about Artemis and the local history before taking in one of the Wonders of the World. If you watch the video - you will see what it looks like today - but some background on the place - It was completely rebuilt three times, and in its final form was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. By 401 AD it had been ruined or destroyed. Only foundations and fragments of the last temple remain at the site. The earliest version of the temple (a temenos) antedated the Ionic immigration by many years, and dates to the Bronze Age. Callimachus, in his Hymn to Artemis, attributed it to the Amazons. In the 7th century BC, it was destroyed by a flood. Its reconstruction, in more grandiose form, began around 550 BC, under the Cretan architect Chersiphron and his son Metagenes. The project was funded by Croesus of Lydia, and took 10 years to complete. This version of the temple was destroyed in 356 BC by Herostratus in an act of arson. The next, greatest and last form of the temple, funded by the Ephesians themselves, is described in Antipater of Sidon's list of the world's Seven Wonders: I have set eyes on the wall of lofty Babylon on which is a road for chariots, and the statue of Zeus by the Alpheus, and the hanging gardens, and the colossus of the Sun, and the huge labour of the high pyramids, and the vast tomb of Mausolus; but when I saw the house of Artemis that mounted to the clouds, those other marvels lost their brilliancy, and I said, "Lo, apart from Olympus, the Sun never looked on aught so grand". And now The Wondering Englishman has set his eyes and his camera on this wonder. Check out the video and let me know if its a place you now want to see or not. To truly understand the city of Izmir you really need 2 days at the very least. And given its size staying anywhere around the city will suffice. There are a variety of options to pick from. Over the years, I've had the fortune to stay in an array of hotels, apartments and various forms of accommodation while travelling. For the majority of travellers, I recommend Booking.com - yes there are hotel comparison websites such as Trivago and Kayak. One suggestion before you visit Turkey and any nation that you are not connected with would be to try and learn a little bit of the local lingo. Yes, a lot of people in Turkey speak English but saying Hello in Turkish - "Merhaba". Will go a long way in terms of getting more warmth from the Turkish people and also endearing yourself to them more. I recommend learning a second or sixth language with Rosetta Stone. They do amazing online courses for beginners to experts in every language you could possibly want to learn including Estonian! I hope you have a great time in Izmir Turkey should you visit. • 1 hour outside London - Shoreham-by-Sea - is it worth a visit?

Londoners are very guilty of not leaving their London bubbles. It can be such a chore to get around London at the best of times. Despite our world-beating public transport (it isn't by the way). I and many Londoners shamelessly only leave London when we depart from one of London's six international airports. And, yet if these restricting lockdown rules have taught us anything we should value the wonderful country that is England. The average Londoner or Tourist for that matter can find themselves in a different world if they dare venture 1 hour outside of London in a North, South, East or Westerly direction. Keen to escape the knife crime and Sadiq Khan's failing cohesion that London is currently offering? A one-day trip I can now recommend is a trip to the English seaside town of Shoreham-by-Sea. Until 2020 I was guilty of never gracing Shoreham-by-Sea with my presence. For I had been to Brighton and even Hove and taken in much of England's wonderful coastline but for my sins, I had never taken seen the wonders of Shoreham-by-Sea. Wonders you say? Well, yes even the smallest hamlets and villages can offer the Bloomer wonders. Don't be cynical and live like a Doomer get yourself out of the London bubble. In my latest video, I took a train from Clapham Junction and journeyed for 1 hour to the English coast. I took the train to Shoreham-by-Sea (often shortened to Shoreham). Shoreham is a seaside town and port in West Sussex, England. The town is bordered to its north by the South Downs, to its west by the Adur Valley and to its south by the River Adur and Shoreham Beach on the English Channel. The town lies in the middle of the ribbon of urban development along the English south coast, approximately equidistant from the city of Brighton and Hove to the east and the town of Worthing to the west. Shoreham covers an area of 2,430 acres (980 ha) and has a population of 20,547 (2011 census). The Train from Clapham Junction to Shoreham-by-Sea can be booked via Trainline and on the day at any London Station. Should you wish to stay overnight you could pick an Airbnb, a local cottage on Holidaycottages.co.uk or one of the local hotels with Hotels.com or booking.com. Check out local hotel prices with the booking.com Search form below. An alternative which I do recommend for your accommodation is Airbnb. The authorities still allow Airbnb in the town (it hasn't been banned just yet). I've booked a number of apartments via Airbnb.
