Hello Chaps! I'm on the Road Again!
I’m currently touring around Europe, bouncing between places with a camera in one hand and a coffee in the other, and I’ve just had some rather exciting news land in my inbox from the team at GPSmyCity. Several new travel article apps have gone live on both the App Store and Google Play — and to celebrate, they’re giving away four of them in full for two whole weeks.
If you’ve ever wished you could take one of those beautifully detailed travel articles and turn it into a proper, offline, GPS-guided walking tour in your pocket, this is exactly that.
What GPSmyCity actually does...
GPSmyCity takes in-depth travel articles and transforms them into interactive, self-guided walking tour apps. You get:
Turn-by-turn GPS navigation to every sight mentioned
Fully offline maps (no roaming charges, no hunting for Wi-Fi)
The freedom to wander at your own pace, pause for photos, or duck into a café whenever you fancy
It’s like having a knowledgeable local friend guiding you, but without the fixed schedule or the group. Perfect for the kind of independent, curious travel I love — and I suspect many of you do too.
Some of the new guides now available..
Among the fresh releases are guides for some places that feel very close to home for this Wondering Englishman:
Discover Oxford, England: The Essential Guide for Visitors
Liverpool: A Perfect Weekend Destination
Exploring Ipswich: Suffolk’s Historic Jewel
Southampton: The Forgotten Port That Deserves a Second Look
The Ultimate Guide to Wrocław: Poland’s Hidden Gem (I’ve spent proper time in Poland — this one feels especially relevant)
Brussels: Europe’s Captivating Capital – Beauty, Beer, Depth
And a couple of lovely Rome ones, including Rome: A Voyage from the Elephant Obelisk to the Colosseum
There’s also The Ultimate Guide to Visiting Lisbon and Exploring the Orange Hotel: A Hidden Piece of WWII History — both proper hidden-gem territory.
Special Giveaway – Four Apps/Guides Completely Free for Two Weeks
To mark the launch, GPSmyCity is making the following City Guides completely free in their full versions for a limited time:
The giveaway runs for two weeks from Monday 13 July 2026.
After that they go back to their normal price, so if any of these destinations are on your list (or on your “one day” list), now’s the moment to grab them. You may as well - it is FREE!

It really is that simple. No codes, no faff — just download and explore.
Why I’m genuinely excited about this..
As someone who’s always travelling and filming, I know how much these little practical tools matter. Lugging around heavy guidebooks is a thing of the past, and relying on patchy data in a foreign city is nobody’s idea of fun. These apps let you wander properly — stopping when something catches your eye, following a rabbit hole, or simply getting a bit lost in the best possible way.
They’re especially brilliant for city breaks and weekend adventures — exactly the kind of trips I often feature on the channel. If you’ve ever watched one of my videos and thought “I’d love to do that myself,” one of these apps could be the perfect companion.
Let’s keep exploring together
